The National Day of Action (NDA) is part of the Equal Love Campaign.
This rally is held in the Melbourne CBD each year on the anniversary of the amendment introduced into Federal Parliament to make marriage between a man and a woman.

The Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby invites you to the 4th annual Equal Love rally and Midwinta vows.
While some progress has been made with an imminent Victorian
Relationships Register, same-sex relationships are still not fully
recognised in law and marriage is still banned.
We invite you and your friends, families, colleagues and neighbours to join us on Sunday August 3 to 'Stand up for your love rights'.

commitment ceremony to celebrate same-sex relationships. Simply turn up
on the day.
2007 National Day of Action
The NDA is Melbourne's mass rally in favour of same-sex relationship recognition. Three years ago, the Federal Parliament amended the Marriage Act to deny same-sex couples access to marriage. While we have achieved much at the state level with the proposed Relationships Register, as the recent report from the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission showed, there is still much inequality in a range of federal legislation.
In an election year - we must show federal candidates that we demand EQUAL LOVE!

Melbourne Gay and Lesbian Chorus
The Melbourne Gay and Lesbian Chorus will be contributing to the fun and frivolity of the NDA by singing in Federation Square.
