Bridget Boson

Drive Host, ‘the campervan', Joy 94.9

Bridget Boson is a performer, writer and broadcaster, not to mention a closet poet. She entered the theatre world at the age of 14 and quickly found her true home with the carnie folk. She wrote and performed her own one woman-many charactered drag show "pretty butch face" at Black Box  @ the Arts Centre for Midsumma 2000/1. Over the years she has performed cabaret, poetry, drag, interpretive dance and not so serious Butoh....

Her character Marlene Cheaptrick, the boozy Teutonic and irreverent minstrel may even be ripe for resurrection. Look out Oktoberfest...

Bridget's bent life has included 10 days in Pentridge, a year in a rain forest (shoeless), a season or two in a damn hot shearing shed, working in a weird cheese factory as a machine operator/repairer, and time well spent learning the fine skills of sommeliering....is that a word?

Bridget is currently enjoying the ride driving the Campervan on joy94.9fm 4-7pm weekdays. Writing and producing radio plays and docos.  She is trying to find time to finish her novel....Running her own small business and is embarking on a course of study as a civil celebrant.

More importantly she is loving her life and playing with her dog.
