Encouraging Victorian employers to promote workplace diversity
It is widely accepted that happy employees are healthier, more productive and more engaged in the workplace. Despite this fact, not enough Victorian employers have taken positive steps to eradicate workplace harassment and bullying or to increase understanding of how to overcome outdated prejudices affecting LGBTIQ people.
While many employers are leading the way with diversity programs and inclusive work practices, we still have a long way to go before LGBTIQ Victorians can feel completely comfortable and safe at work.
The VGLRL is working with community and business networks to encourage employers to promote diversity in the workplace so LGBTIQ Victorians can be “out and proud” at work.
